If there’s one thing we love at Ninja Refinery, it’s seeing a game absolutely blow expectations out of the water.
We didn’t know what Embark Studios were cooking initially. But after those first reviews and that initial week of release, had something special brewing with ARC Raiders. Especially coming off the chaotic fun of The Finals, but I don’t think anyone (including the devs) saw this coming.
ARC Raiders has just gone from strength to strenght. And rightfully so, being a well-made, well-crafted extraction game. Something I never really thought I’d care about.
If you watch the NoClip documentary series on the game, with the studio. You can see the effort gone into making Arc Raiders what it is today. And precisely why ARC Raiders has sold 12 million copies.
That is a staggering number for a paid extraction shooter in a market that is notoriously difficult to crack.
To put that in perspective, the team at Embark openly admitted that “the way it took off, I think, took all of us by surprise.”

To celebrate the milestone (and perhaps because they are just in a good mood), Embark is giving away a Free Gold Hammer (the Golden Raider Tool) to everyone.
There is a catch, though: you need to move fast.
