The moment Xbox players have been waiting for is almost here. Arrowhead Game Studios has officially announced that the smash-hit co-op shooter, Helldivers 2, is deploying on Xbox Series X|S next week, on Tuesday, August 26th 2025.
But that’s not all. To celebrate the launch, a legendary crossover is on the horizon: The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond.
That’s right, it’s time to become an “Obedient Democracy Support Trooper.” This brand-new Warbond is a loving tribute to the iconic Orbital Drop Shock Troopers from the Halo universe, reimagined for the endless battle for Managed Democracy.
This premium collection features a full arsenal of familiar weapons, two distinct armor sets, and a host of cosmetics to let you bring a little piece of New Mombasa to the Terminid-infested swamps of Malevelon Creek.

Arsenal of Democracy: The ODST Weapons
Four legendary firearms have been recommissioned to help spread Freedom:
- MA5C Assault Rifle: The unmistakable profile of the iconic assault rifle is back. Reliable, effective, and now aimed at the enemies of Super Earth, it even comes with its signature ammo counter and a built-in compass.
- M7S SMG: For when things need to be quiet and violent. This suppressed submachine gun with caseless ammo is perfect for flanking a Bile Titan or conducting a covert operation on an Automaton outpost.
- M90A Shotgun: Get up close and personal. This pump-action powerhouse packs a serious punch and comes with a mounted flashlight, so you can see the terror in your foe’s eyes before delivering a payload of Liberty.
- M6C/SOCOM Pistol: Making its debut in Helldivers 2 is the suppressed sidearm. Your new best friend for stealth missions, this pistol comes equipped with a laser sight, flashlight, and, for the first time, a suppressor.
Suit Up, Trooper: The ODST Armour
Two classic armour sets are ready for the drop, both featuring a brand new passive ability.
- A-9 Helljumper: A sleek, all-purpose armour set perfect for those who like to dive head-first into danger.
- A-35 Recon: Famous among the Ministry of Intelligence, this streamlined armour removes excess shoulder plating for a lower profile.
- New Armor Passive: Feet First: Both ODST armour sets come with this unique passive. Helldivers wearing this gear will make less noise while moving, are completely immune to leg injuries, and will detect points of interest on the map from 30% further away.
For the Cause: Capes and Cosmetics
No Helldiver is complete without their cape. This Warbond includes two new designs, the Honored Heirloom Cape and the Eye of the Clandestine Cape. Additionally, you’ll unlock ODST-themed player cards, the new player title “Rookie”, and a “Mean Green” vehicle pattern.
A New Tier: Legendary Warbonds
This crossover introduces a brand new tier of content: Legendary Warbonds. The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Warbond will be the first of its kind and can be purchased from the Acquisitions Center for 1,500 Super Credits.
As always, Warbonds never expire, so you can unlock the contents at your own pace. However, Arrowhead has noted that this new Legendary tier cannot be unlocked with the new Premium Warbond Tokens, which are also being introduced on August 26.
