Three pieces on Arc Raiders in the space of a week? That’s excessive for us, but all with good cause. The game has taken the extraction shooter genre by storm and it’s doing great critically and commercially.
Beyond that, we think it’s excellent, and with a bit more time, we’ll have a review up here in due course.
But, not long after release, Embark Studios just dropped a massive update, and they need the whole community on deck to crack it open.
The North Line
In a surprise drop, Embark has released “Act – North Line,” an update that isn’t just a simple patch—it’s a massive community event. Arc Raiders has just gotten even bigger.
The goal? To unlock a brand-new map, Stella Montis.
According to the new cinematic trailer, the update focuses on a blocked-up underground line that is finally starting to be uncovered.
It’s not going to be a walk in the park, though. The area is reportedly rigged with traps, suggesting that someone—or something—really doesn’t want us poking around down there.
Who set the traps? That’s the mystery.
Current in-game clues point toward a faction operating in Blue Gate (the ones taking down giant Arc machines), but the lore is still thick with fog.

New Threats and Fixes
Once the community manages to pry open the doors to Stella Montis, we’re in for a dark and dangerous new zone.
To make matters worse (or better, if you love a challenge), two new Arc enemies are being added. The Matriarch and the Shredder.
Alongside the new content, Embark has dropped a hefty balance patch. Quick highlights are as follows:
- Server Latency: Character movement should feel much snappier.
- Quest Fixes: Those annoying “in-one-round” collection quests should actually work now.
- Terrain Fixes: No more falling out of the world (hopefully).
- Wolfpack grenades have had their recipe tweaked. You’ll now need three refined explosives and two Arc motion cores to put one together.

Get Involved
This update follows closely on the heels of the recent Duo Queue addition, so it’s clear Embark is listening to players and keeping the momentum rolling.
The North Line is live right now. If you’re diving in to help the community unlock Stella Montis, good luck out there.
Watch out for the traps, and maybe don’t try to trap your friends in the Blue Gate control room anymore—they fixed that glitch!
It’s guaranteed to be a fun time, no matter how you get stuck-in. So let’s go, Raiders.
