Incoming! PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Due in a few weeks, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is heading to Xbox One.

I’ve spent a bit of time streaming and writing about Fortnite: Battle Royale, and how much I’ve enjoyed the game type.  Now I’ve found myself getting hyped-up for the more realistic take on a Battle Royale game, one that some might describe as the definitive game of it’s type.

Normally I wouldn’t do any kind of preamble about something coming out, but I’m planning to invest quite a bit of time into it, including longer-than-usual streams over on Mixer.

I’ve even tried to apply for a review copy, although non-names like Ninja Refinery don’t always get too far in that respect. Pre-order is on standby, too.

What’s coming?

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is due out on 12th December, and I’ll be diving into it as soon as possible.  Obviously working around thing like work, family etc……

The intention is to stream my whole experience with it for the month of December.  Watch me fail and fumble, and then hopefully there will be enough footage to start to see improvement?  I’m looking forward to properly documenting my progress.  Something I’ve never really done in terms of skill development progress in a game before.

Of course I’ll be tackling other games and subjects during this time, too, but my core focus is going to be Battlegrounds.  With pieces being created around it, not solely my personal experiences and videos, but views from outside of the massive community, that I’ve been looking at for months now.

It’s an exciting time, and it’s hopefully going to become one of the core games that gets covered here, like Overwatch, Rocket League and Destiny, with content updates and ongoing development.

Who cares?

It’s been out for a while on PC, but this is the first time a lot of people will have the opportunity to play one of 2017’s hottest properties.  Hopefully, a lot of people will be into it, and it’s chance for Ninja Refinery to try some new kinds of content.

Let’s see how it goes!

Wanna join in?

One thing I’d really like to see, is some people joining in.  Either creating content (everyone is welcome to write for Ninja Refinery!), or new people to play with, and build up a squad.

Just send me a message if you want to get involved.  Either on Twitter, Facebook or via email: press@ninjarefinery.com
