What’s coming in 2024 for ninjarefinery.com?
Short answer is, I don’t have a clue, and for the first time, that’s fine with me. Everything has always been on a whim, and whilst I love a plan and ideas, I can’t commit as I’d like. Between work and just normal life, I can’t focus solely on the site in 2024.
But it’s fine, we’re seeing steady growth, people constantly asking for paid posts (then asking for discounts….) and it’s not costing an arm and a leg to run. 2023 has been stable at worst, so lets take that and run with it for a bit!
There are always ideas, and I’m always taking notes down. 2024 will likely see plenty of new things, but I’m not worried about what they might be right now.
2024 – No promises
For a change, I’ll not set some target of not buying new games, smashing through my back catalogue or anything like that.
Instead, I’ve actually got an ever-growing list of things to accomplish that I can check-off. I feel like hitting even 50% of that list will be an accomplishment in 2024.

Sister sites in 2024
If you haven’t seen it yet, we have a sister site: neverplayed.co.uk which, is a bit of an experiment. Designed solely to become a means of making money from ads. Using AI to generate content and then getting scraped and hit by all the same people constantly approaching me for guest posts, paid ads etc.
It needs a bit of a tidy, but it’s nice to see traffic grow with organic SEO and start to take form the same people that keep trying to rip blog sites-off.
There’s also another site in the works for 2024. Not content-driven, but a store, a clothing brand, in fact. I’m happy with the core concept, but designs, printers etc are taking time, and I don’t want to rush it. Plus, it’s nice having a project on the back burner.
The website for that is a hot mess already and it’s getting erased and started from scratch, again. I hate online stores when they’re not clean and easy. It’s a new challenge, something I’d like to perhaps take seriously once I bed it in, but 2024 will be very much about creating a foundation for that.
Never quiet
Beyond all the above, 2024 will be business as usual here. I’ll aim to do more, have spurts of creativity and inspiration, and ebbs of struggling to get a few hundred words together. It’s fine, who cares?
Streaming should pick up again. Video reviews are something I’ve dabbled in this year, and I’ve been working on video capture storage etc to make that more of an opportunity, but who knows? 2024 is anyone’s for the taking.
If all else fails, I’ll still put up reviews of whatever I’m playing and try to be interesting from time to time.
