2025

Alright. Before we start talking about 2025, let’s acknowledge a repeated history of making claims, setting gaming-targets and then missing them.

I thought last year I had countered it with just a broad checklist of some things I’d like to achieve. Which kinda worked.

But, as days, weeks and months pass. My interests change, trying to keep up with new updates, new releases etc.

2025 is going to be different again. One single gaming aim. No further bluster, no lists or promises that I’ll not fulfill. One, solitary goal.

Everything else is superfluous and an added benefit.

2025

This one is easy to lay-out but the commitment is still no joke.

In 2025 I want to finish a modern JRPG. I’m thinking Persona 5 Royal, but maybe it’s time to finish Final Fantasy VII Remake instead?

The objective is broad. Finish a modern JRPG. The challenge is likely rough. Level grinding, lots of text dialogue in inane conversations or masses of exposition.

I suspect I’m having to commit say 100 hours to one game. So I need to pick it and just go at it over 12 months.

So many lauded titles out there and I’ve had great fun dipping into Yakuza: Like a Dragon, FFVII Remake and Persona 5. 2025 is the year one of them gets finished.

That’s it.

Anything else?

Sure, I have a lot of other things to set out and accomplish. But the only 2025 focus for gaming is to complete a JRPG.

Beyond that, we have sister sites to look after better or shutter. There’s a new one that’s been in the works for a month or so. Something different. Maybe we commit and launch that? Maybe not.

The core site has gone and grown in terms of stats and had a record year. So 2025 should be an opportunity to at least maintain that. But there’s been a lot learned this year to take forwards.

Ultimately, it’s all a hobby and unless something drastic takes place, that’s how it will remain. So let’s just ride the waves of 2025 and see where we land.

Thank you

There has been a record number of visits and site engagement. Nothing earth shattering, and I’m aware that a lot of visits are from friends that are just being kind.

If you’re reading this now, thank you. If you have been to the site this year, or ever. Thank you.

As traffic increases, so too does the reputation of the site in the form of metrics like the DA (domain authority). It helps us engage with bigger partners for other content and to make a few quid here and there.

The more we do the more we can make. Then, the more we can do for friends of the site. Hopefully 2025 becomes the year we turn a decent profit to put into better giveaways and things?

Anyway. That’s it. JRPG in 2025.

Take note. There’s 12 months to do it. It can’t be that hard, right? Right?!
