Trying something new

Now I’ve gone past 100 posts published, I’ve started to see some patterns in what I’m doing.

That’s no bad thing at all, in fact, I’m pleased and a little surprised at my consistency in my approach to certain things.

Mixing things up

On the flip-side of being pleased of how consistent things have grown to be, I want to make sure things don’t get stale, and there’s such a breadth of things to be talked about beyond just game reviews, I want in on some of that action!

Plus, this is actually a blog, and now I’m a little more comfortable in writing and posting things in public, I have other things I’d like to write about.  Namely where I drew inspiration from to start to do this, on top of having a full-time job and studying for a degree.

There are individuals, companies and websites that have in some way inspired me and helped me see that if I want to do something, I should just do it, and without getting carried away, I want to share the amazing work of people that I see all the time.

Sure, it’s a little fluffy, perhaps comes across as promotion, but if I’ve benefitted in any way from these people, perhaps others will too.

As such I’ll be introducing an “Inspired by” set of posts, giving some love to some of these people.  These will go on throughout the course of the site, and I’m reaching out to people for permission to share images etc.  So far so good, because these are good people, it’s pretty straight forward really!

Other bits

Being a one-man band with an actual life on the other side of this site, I do what I can to provide as much content as possible.

My coffee, music and burger reviews have been sorely lacking, and I’ll be doing what I can to push those a little better.  Otherwise, I’m open to any suggestions on what people would like to see, and I’d love for any contributions from anyone who wants to give it a go.

Get in touch, don’t be shy!
