We’re still recovering from Omega Planetes and the Final Fantasy crossover, and Capcom have dropped the full details on the upcoming fall seasonal event. It looks pretty significant, too. Get ready for the Festival of Accord: Dreamspell, taking over the Grand Hub from October 22 to November 12.
Here’s a quick look at what’s coming. Including the spooky, spectacular loot and quests coming your way.
Welcome to the Dreamspell Festival!
For the next few weeks, the Grand Hub is getting a complete festive makeover.
Expect stunning decorations, special limited-time meals to get you buffed for the hunt, and new gestures (like the “Pumpkin Head”!) to show off.
You’ll also be able to grab decorations for your pop-up camp. And you can customize your Hunter Profile with a new Nameplate, Background, Pose, and Titles, all themed to the Dreamspell festival.
The Gear: Dreamwalker & Meowrionette Sets
So, what’s the main grind? You’ll be diving into new and returning limited-time event quests to collect Dreamspell tickets.
Cash these tickets in to craft two incredible new sets:
- Hunter Armour: The ethereal Dreamwalker α Series
- Palico Equipment: The adorable (and slightly creepy) Meowrionette α Series
Who doesn’t want a flaming head?! I know I do. It feels like a subtle nod to Dead Cells, although I’m sure they can’t acknowledge it!
Login Bonuses & Daily Goodies
Just for showing up, you’re going to be showered in free stuff.
The regular login bonus is being buffed to include two Lucky Vouchers and three Barrel Bowling Vouchers. You’ll also get Dreamspell Vouchers, a Spectral Barrel Bomb, and other items each day.
Daily bounties will also be updated to help you farm special tickets and items. And for all you hoarders, the Provisions Stockpile will be having a big sale during the event. Time to stock up on essentials!
New Event Quests & Their Rewards
On top of the main armour, specific event quests will drop even more unique gear. Here’s what’s on the docket:
- Event Quest: “Hirabami Harvest” Reward: Farm this beast to craft the Harvest α Series armor and the Felyne Ghost α Series Palico set.
- Event Quest: “That Won’t Faze Me!” Reward: Collect materials to craft the awesome Gelidron α Series armor set and finally live out your dream of looking like a Gelidron.
- New Eyewear! You’ll also be able to forge new glasses for your hunter and for Alma, including the Kitten Frames α and Aviator Shades α.
For the Endgame Hunters: Arch-Tempered Terror
Think you’ve mastered the Oilwell Basin? Think again.
A new Permanent Event Quest titled “Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame” is being added. This quest pits you against the Arch-tempered version of the basin’s apex predator. It’s going to be brutal, but the rewards are worth it.
Survive, and you’ll earn the right to craft the ridiculously powerful Nu Udra γ Series hunter armor and the Felyne Udra γ Series for your Palico. Good luck. You’ll need it.
Handler Fashion & New DLC
Your Handlers are getting in on the seasonal spirit! During the event, you can try out two new outfits for free:
- Alma Outfit: Autumn Witch
- Erik Outfit: Autumn Therian
If you absolutely love the new looks, you can purchase them as paid DLC to keep and wear forever, even after the event ends.
These outfits will be available separately or as part of the Dreamspell DLC Pack, which also bundles in special pendants, gestures, a sticker set, and a Seikret decoration. The pack drops on October 22 alongside the event.
