How on earth do you review a Deskpad/Mousepad/Mouse Mat? It’s a simple question, right? But have you ever seen a review of one before? It might not be a world first, but hopefully it’s a first for Technically Stable.
We’re about to attempt it, as ridiculous at it may seem. Because, frankly, Technically Stable are delivering something unique and worth talking about.
Deskpads
In years gone by you’d be worried about the ball in your mouse collecting dirt and needing ample run to function well. Optical mice came out and a shiny surface (like a desk!) became the enemy.
Mousepads have been an aid all these years. Optical sensors have improved, sure. But you want as smooth and soft as you can get.
Too spongy would be useless, you have to get the balance right (stable on a technical level……or perhaps Technically Stable?). Then, as with all things in gaming, it needs to look cool, too!
Technically Stable
To me, it seems that the mission statement for Technically Stable is clear. And that’s how we should measure their products.
Anyone can get a cheap chinese-manufactured deskpad. But not everyone can deliver quality and variety.
More importantly, a little more of an experience with your purchase. Technically Stable is very clearly a quality-first operation.
Packaging
The experience starts before you even see your Mousepad! A lovely, cartoony box, nicely branded. Colourful, fun, engaging. Open it up and there’s your pad, nicely fastened with Technically Stable branded fasteners. An air freshener in-box to deliver an experience beyond the visual. It’s an aromatic hit, too. So your senses are being tickled, just by opening your box. Quality. Before you’ve even unrolled your pad.
Print and finish
Ah man, what a treat. I was skeptical to be honest. I mean, a mat is a mat is a mat, right? Nope!
Technically Stable commit to quality from the print to the stitching. The thickness is perfect, the size takes up the perfect amount of desk space, too!
I wasn’t planning on replacing my Logitech deskpad for quite some time. But the Technically Stable designs and prices made it hard to not at least give them a go.
My keyboard sits steadily in place, my mouse glides around, and my desk just looks cooler. Gaming setup has levelled-up in style and practicality!
What more do you need? It’s the quality the counts, and Technically Stable delivery at every opportunity.
Overall
It’s weird to gush about a deskpad/mousepad. I know. But when something that comes to market with such high quality, it’s hard not to be a little bit excited.
I really want to do a custom one, but can’t decide on my design just yet! But the options on the Technically Stable site are plentiful, with many colours, too. It’s great to see a new gaming business thrive.
I’ve gone from thinking I’ll not need a new deskpad for a while, to thinking I need a few to suit my mood.
Which is well, a little unstable…..The minute you get your package you’re treated to visual and aromatic scintillation. Followed by the pleasure that you can see and feel the quality in the product.
