We loved the first Death Stranding, and we’re currently still working on our review for Death Stranding 2 on PS5. And now, PC gamers need to get their boots ready and your monsters chilled.
Kojima Productions, in tandem with the porting wizards at Nixxes Software, has officially confirmed that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is making the leap to PC on March 19th, 2026.
Following its recent launch as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, PC players won’t have to wait long to experience Sam Porter Bridges’ next odyssey across the chiral-connected wilds of Australia.
This is problematic for us, as at some point the pang to play it on PC will strike. So it’s almost guaranteed we’ll buy it again. But not until we’ve finished our first playthrough.

Ultrawide support and PC features
If there is one thing a Kojima game begs for, it’s a wider field of view to soak in those desolate, beautiful vistas. Nixxes is delivering the goods here:
- Support for 21:9 and a massive 32:9 Super Ultrawidescreen.
- 4K fidelity: Fully optimized for high-resolution delivery.
- Input choice: Full mouse and keyboard customization for the precision-minded, or full DualSense integration (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers) for those who want to feel every stumble in the terrain.
- Audio immersion: Support for Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, and Windows Sonic.

Australia and the social strand
In this sequel, Sam isn’t just delivering packages; he’s working with Drawbridge to connect Australia to the network.
Expect new tools, vehicles, and weapons to help fight off enemies, survive timefall and natural disasters like sandstorms and forest fires.
The Social Strand System also makes a return. Allowing players to indirectly assist one another by building structures and paths that appear in other players’ worlds.
Pre-purchase bonuses and Digital Deluxe
Pre-purchases are live today on Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you put your money down early, you’ll snag some silver tier gear and a quokka hologram.
The Digital Deluxe Edition adds:
- Gold skeletons: Battle, Boost, and Bokka variants.
- Early unlocks: Level 1 Machine Gun [MP].
- Cosmetic patches: Including the chiral cat and “why me?” patches for your gear.

The PlayStation connection
In a nice touch for those who play across ecosystems, signing into your PlayStation account on PC will grant access to a PlayStation overlay, trophy support, and an exclusive suit inspired by the PlayStation logo.
The ninjarefinery.com review
We took a bit of time out after going at it non-stop towards the end of the year. So after we wrap-up Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, we’ll get the final thought’s part of the review up.
Death Stranding 2 is more of the good stuff, for sure. But it’s not quite hitting like the first one did. Of course, we have plenty to go at still, and we’re hoping it becomes a timeless classic like the original.
Keep heading back here to see how we eventually score it.
