All we know about Two Point Museum

We’re not a million miles away from the Two Point Museum release, now (5th March 2025!). And Two Point Studios are putting out YouTube content like you wouldn’t believe.

This is a great thing, because it’s doing wonders to on-board players old and new alike. Giving insight into what you can expect with this museum-focused take on the genre, whilst highlighting the game play and setting expectations. Explaining what you’ll be doing, or at least, aiming to do in between the chaos.

Two Point Museum has got us absolutely buzzing here. There’s so much potential, and no doubt Two Point Studios have honed their style and delivery beyond anything we’ve seen before.

Here’s our very brief rundown of the videos that have been released, and some of the insight we’re getting, to help run our museum empires!

Museum Management

To successfully manage a museum in Two Point Museum, you’ll need to balance your income and expenses. You’ll need to hire skilled staff, keep your guests happy, and offer a variety of exhibits and amenities. You can generate income through donations, ticket sales, and gift shop purchases.

However, you’ll also need to spend money on expeditions, decorations, marketing, training, workshops, analysis, food vendors, and staff. If you’re not careful, you may need to take out a loan or seek sponsorship.

Ticket sales and gift shop purchases feel very in-line with Theme Park, and whilst managing finances isn’t exactly new to the games. The prospect of managing ticket prices just takes me way back.

Exploring Exhibits

To get new exhibits for your museum, you’ll need to send experts on expeditions. Choose a location that matches their expertise, and make sure they’re properly trained to avoid mishaps.

You can equip your helicopter with items to help your mission, such as an XP-dition journal to gain more experienced staff, a first aid kit for emergencies, or a haggling handbook for cheaper journeys. Sometimes you’ll encounter problems on your expeditions that you’ll need to solve to continue.

Museums!

Two Point County has several different museum types, including prehistory, marine life, and supernatural. As a curator, your goal is to unlock and manage all the museums in Two Point County, expanding your museum empire. You’ll begin your journey in the city, focusing on prehistory.

By completing objectives and sending your experts on expeditions, you can unlock more museums, such as the marine life museum. You can even combine themes from different museums to create unique exhibits, like a spooky fish or an aquatic skeleton.

The Supernatural

Welcome to Wailon Lodge, a spooky museum filled with ghostly delights!

This old haunted hotel is now a museum, showcasing a variety of eerie exhibits. You’ll find singing animatronics, massive Venus fly traps, and even a ghost train circling the lodge.

As curator, your task is to embrace the spooky theme and turn the roaming ghosts into exciting exhibits for your guests. You can create Poltergeist Rooms where guests can be visited by spirits and showcase haunted furniture that moves as guests interact with it.

To expand your collection, embark on expeditions into the Netherworld Rift and unlock new spooky exhibits.

Marine Life

The Marine Life Museum, located on the coast, features exhibits from Wetlantis. To acquire these exhibits, you’ll need to hire experts and send them on expeditions. Maintaining the happiness of the aquatic life is important, and guests will be impressed by the Wetlantis exhibits.

The more impressed they are, the more they will donate, allowing you to keep your facilities clean, decorate, and stock vending machines. Once you unlock the Marine Life Museum, you can hire Wetlantis experts in all your other museums and expand your aquatic collection across your museum empire.

More to come?

I think it’s safe to say with over a month to go, there’s going to be more Two Point Museum content posted on the Two Point Studios YouTube channel. Which means we’ll all get an even better insight into what to expect.

We’re well on our way through the Yakuza: Like a Dragon, playthrough and I know we’ll be knee-deep in review and content for Monster Hunter: Wilds. But it feels to me like Two Point Museum is going to be the perfect change of pace. As we’re picking up on Twitch streams again, it feels like this will be our perfect Sunday stream for a while.

It’s exciting, to say the least, because we love Two Point Studios and their work, and Two Point Museum feels like we’re about to hit some of the Theme Park magic, too. Hurry up, March!!
